Rasi got here yesterday just about the time Julie, Everest, and I were walking up the walkway to pick her up beyond security. We didn't see her at first, but a call of "Mangy!" definitely got my attention. We headed back to my house right away, and Rasi got settled. We looked through some of her childhood pictures, relaxing a bit. Then we got to work!

After the bank, we went to Sam's Club and Safeway for supplies and food. Whew! Our fridge hasn't been this full in a long time. LOL Rasi helped me get a bunch of food ready. We chopped cantelope and pineapple, washed grapes, made sandwiches and banana bread with sunflower seeds and chocolate chips... I think that's it. Anyway, it was a good time because I was able to get to know Rasi better. :o)

Rasi is Julie's new best friend, by the way. Rasi danced with her, and that's a surefire way to wriggle into Julie's good graces. ;o)

Of course, we were both working on not enough sleep--Rasi had it the worst, I think she got like and hour and a half of sleep the night before. So we started watching "Warriors of the Wind," an old school animae movie I have, but when we each were nodding off, Rasi decided to go to bed.

Friday, July 6 Schedule
This morning, I'm taking Rasi out for a surprise. (Shh! I'll tell ya later what it is.) Silvereagle is due in this morning, then Child and her mom should be here late tonight.

Everyone is invited to join us for dinner at 5:30 p.m. tonight at my house. (PM me if you need directions!) We're having Chinese Chicken Curry and rice with a strawberry dessert that Silver will make for us. Yummy yum...

Getting closer!

I can't believe how close it is to the first ever CleanPlace Moot. I have high hopes these days of things turning out just fine. There have been a lot of moments of self doubt and worry, but I'm starting to think that everything is going to be just fine. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I'm more organized now than I was last week. I have all the lists made of what to cook and when to pick people up at the airport, etc. It's all getting rather clear.

I'm just about at the point where I wish it could just be Thursday morning so we can be waiting at the airport for Sarrasi. Almost there. Tomorrow, I'll probably be jumping out of my skin in anticipation for all of this to begin. :o)

So this is it

Welcome to the CleanPlace Moot 2007 Blog! In this space, I will post schedules, thoughts, and report details of the CP Moot taking place here in Colorado Springs, CO. I've just spent a good part of the early morning putting together a time line and planning menus for the July 6-15 event.

Thoughts going through my mind:
* Wow, this wasn't as hard as I imagined it would be.
* You've still got some important things to do this week.
* I'm so thankful that so many of our people are going to be able to make it. I hope more can come next year too.

Sarrasi will be arriving first--this Thursday morning at 9:55. I must keep repeating in my mind, "Sarra-sigh, Sarra-sigh..." (I've been saying "Sa-rah-see" for months now. Oops.)

Hey, if you're going to the Moot and you would like to contribute your own posts to this blog, please send me a PM on CleanPlace with your email address, and I'll invite you as an author. (NOTE: You DO need to have a Blogger (or Gmail) account, but it's free to get one.)
